11 Best Party Board Games For 5 Players Or More
1. Wits & Wagers Board Game
- Game Type: Party / Trivia
- Ages: 10+
- Players: 4 to an unlimited number of players!
- Play Time: 25 minutes
With over 1 million sold, Wits & Wagers has taken over the trivia and game night world by storm.
The regular, non-deluxe version still remains the most award-winning party game to this day, and the deluxe version, its bigger and badder sibling, is that much better!
So basically, this is how it works. You get a question–some question that no one will actually know the answer to. Something like: “Do you know the average number of pizza slices eaten by Americans each day?”
No one knows the answers, but everyone can take a guess. Once everyone writes down a guess on the betting mat, you’ll all then place your bets. The person with the closest answer is the winner. You can even bet on yourself if you’re confident in your answer!
And even if you don’t win the bet, you’ll still learn something new, which is half the fun.
Even if you have lots of people in your party who want to play, it’s easy to pair up and make teams, or play individually with at least 4 players.
We love this game because although it has trivia involved, you don’t actually have to know or have the exact right answers to be able to win.
While the regular Wits & Wager version is certainly going to be a ton of fun nonetheless, you can expect the deluxe version to be loaded with upgrades.
Other Wits & Wager editions to consider:
- Wits & Wagers Board Game | Vegas Edition (ages 13+)
- Wits & Wagers Board Game | Family Edition (ages 6+)
- Wits & Wagers Board Game | Party Edition (ages 8+)
2. Mr. Listers Quiz Shootout Party Trivia Game
- Game Type: Party / Trivia
- Ages: 14+
- Players: 3 to 20
- Play Time: 30 to 60 minutes
Mr. Listers Quiz Shootout is a western-themed trivia game that’s perfect for big family get-togethers or game nights with groups of friends.
Choose a player to play the role of Mr. Lister, hand them the rubber mustache, and get ready to play. For every question “Mr. Lister” asks, they’ll be a ton of correct answers. You just need to be the team that gives the most correct answers!
It’s almost like Family Feud where you have to give the top answers to a question but the answer can only be used once.
The questions are set up so that even some younger kids can take a stab at answering many of them, as the questions include things like “Name the top brands of soda” and such.
What is nice is that the gameplay is a little slower, so you’re not burning through cards every minute. This means you get a little more bang for your buck because the game lasts a little longer.
With larger groups, one game can even last an hour which is great!
3. Herd Mentality
- Game Type: Party
- Ages: 10+
- Players: 4 to 20
- Play Time: 20+ minutes
Looking for a fast-paced board game perfect for 5+ players? Look no further than Herd Mentality! If you’ve never heard of Herd Mentality, let us be the first to tell you, this game is so much fun!
Plus, it doesn’t take much time to learn so your family game night or a night in with friends won’t be filled with confusion about the rules or anything like that.
How it works is that players take on the role of farmers, trying to get the largest herd of cows before the other players. The aim of the game is simple: think like the herd and try to write down the same answers as your friends.
If your answer is part of the majority, you all win cows! If everyone else writes an answer that is matched by at least one other person, and yours is the odd one out, then you land the dreaded Pink Cow, which blocks you from winning the game unless you can offload it onto someone else.
The first player to collect eight cows wins.
Herd Mentality is a great game for kids and adults alike, and is sure to get you laughing and strategically thinking like your peers. So round up your friends and family, and try out this addicting game!
4. Scrawl: Terrible Drawings and Ridiculous Guesses
- Game Type: Party
- Ages: 17+
- Players: 4 to 8
- Play Time: 30+ minutes
Looking for an interactive game that includes drawing? Now before you get scared away from this game thinking you can’t draw, that’s actually the fun of it. The worse of drawers you and your group are, the more fun Scrawl will be!
Hear us out–the rules are simple. It’s basically like the old game of telephone, but with drawings incorporated.
Each person will pick one of 240 loaded phrases, doodle it, and pass it on. The person that receives the drawing needs to guess what the drawer was depicting.
Once they make their guess, they pass along the new phrase they came up with. The next person to receive the “newly interpreted “phrase then draws it.
By the time it gets back to you, things will have gone horribly wrong (especially if you have bad drawers in your group)! At the end of each round, you’ll all reveal the journey your drawing went on — you earn points for the funniest doodles and best guesses.
5. What Do You Meme?
- Game Type: Party
- Ages: 17+
- Players: 3 to 20
- Play Time: 30+ minutes
What Do You Meme? is an internet sensation that’s turning into one of our modern-day classic board games. We love it because it’s so visually fun and it’s truly taking the world by storm!
The game is simple: players compete to see who can create the funniest meme using a card from their hand. But don’t worry, it’s not just about being funny. What Do You Meme? is also a great way to get to know your friends’ sense of humor better.
Here’s how to play: Each player starts with 7 cards. One player starts as the “judge” and selects a card from their hand to be the “meme” for that round. This card is placed in the center of the table for all players to see.
The rest of the group will select a caption card from their hand to pair with the meme image in order to create the funniest meme. The winner of each round is decided by the rotating judge.
Pro tip: pick your caption card to match the judge’s sense of humor.
Each What Do You Meme core game contains 525 cards. 450 of these are caption cards and 75 are photo cards. They currently offer the original game as well as the “Bigger Better Edition”. Go for the bigger better version!
Looking for a family-friendly version? They’ve got one right here!

Ultimate Pub Trivia can be played just as easily in person as over video chat! All you need is that one person to play quiz master while all other players break into teams and either play individually or together.
7. Half Truth
- Game Type: Party
- Ages: 12+
- Players: 2 and up
- Play Time: 25+ minutes
Some of you might know Richard Garfield from his famous collectible card game Magic: The Gathering. Yup, he made a trivia game called Half Truth, and it’s just as good.
Here’s how it works: You’ll get a broad question with six answers–three of them will be right and three of them will be wrong. To advance you just have to pick one of the correct ones.
Players place their bets between three right and three wrong answers trying to guess correctly. Answer correctly and receive a point–receive a small bonus for the second and third correct answer per round.
The cool thing about this game is that it’s not just “you know it or you don’t”. Half Truth offers clues that allow each player to play even without knowledge about a particular topic or category. After each game, you will walk away learning something new!
Half Truth comes with 500 trivia question cards and a wide selection of categories so your friends and family can show each other how much they know and don’t know!
8. Throw Throw Burrito: A Dodgeball Card Game
- Game Type: Party
- Ages: 7+
- Players: 2 to 6
- Play Time: 30+ minutes
Looks like the creators of the award-winning Exploding Kittens game have done it again — they’ve managed to create yet another entertaining game that adults, teens and kids will all enjoy. This time, it’s called Throw Throw Burrito: A Dodgeball Card Game.
If you’re looking for a game for 6 players that’ll get your heart thumping and all your friends laughing, this is the one!
The aim of the game is to collect matching sets of cards faster than your opponents while simultaneously ducking, dodging and throwing squishy airborne burritos.
To start, each player takes turns drawing cards from the deck and placing them in front of them. There are three types of cards: Action, Dodgeball, and Points.
Action cards allow you to do things like steal points from other players or draw extra cards. Dodgeball cards are used to defend yourself from incoming burritos. Points cards are exactly what they sound like – they give you points!
Fair warning, this game gets chaotically fun, so you’ll want to remove any glass/breakables and clear some space before playing.
9. Trivial Pursuit: Decades 2010 to 2020
- Game Type: Party / Trivia
- Ages: 16+
- Players: 2 to 6
- Play Time: 30+ minutes
Calling all pop culture lovers–Trivial Pursuit Decades 2010 to 2020 is the one for you! Why? Because the questions in this version of the Trivial Pursuit game reflect the culture and trends that were popular from 2010 to 2020.
The game’s trivia categories are inspired by everything we liked, swiped, shared, and streamed.
They are: Playlist, Bingeworthy, Culture, News Alert, Break the Internet, and Game On, featuring questions from smartphones and technology to politics and entertainment. How fun is that?
If you typically struggle with being able to answer questions from the classic Trivial Pursuit (sorry, not everyone remembers TV shows from the 80s), you’ll enjoy this game, perfect for millennials and Gen-Z’ers.
Having said that, some of the questions may be tough for the older crowd. Nevertheless, it’s still a ton of fun to learn something new, and this game will 100% teach you something new!

10. …I should have known that! Trivia Game
- Game Type: Party / Trivia
- Ages: 14+
- Players: 2 and up
- Play Time: 30+ minutes
This is a fast-paced and hilarious trivia game with a fun twist–in contrast to traditional trivia formats, you don’t receive points for answering questions correctly. Instead, points are subtracted for every incorrect answer!
…I should have known that! trivia game contains 110 cards with more than 400 questions about things that you should know. But will you actually?
Some questions are easy and some are a challenge. It’ll really depend on what card you pull, and what you already know or don’t know!
From questions such as “How Do You Say ‘Japan’ In Japanese?” to “Is A Penguin A Bird?”, these questions will have you palm-facing and questioning why you didn’t know that in no time!
The scoring is really what makes this game super unique. If your answer is incorrect for a question most people would consider easy, then you will lose more points (let’s say 9 points for example).
On the other hand, if you can’t answer a less commonly known question, then you might only be deducted 2 points.
But by far the best thing about this trivia game is how portable it is. There’s no board to go with the game — just a simple deck of cards, perfect for people on road trips, camping, or just out and about with friends!
